🌈🧱 Happy Pride Month and Juneteenth 🖤❤️💚💛

🌈🧱 Happy Pride Month 🌈🧱
June is a special month, for me as a Black American and Bi woman, it is a time to celebrate my communities and the human rights we have gained in this country. By celebrating Pride month and the Juneteenth holiday.
Dishearteningly, this year, struggles won are having to be fought once again. History is being erased and many communities are under attack, again. All this has made me feel like it is more important than ever, to say, this is a queer Black woman owned business. I want you to know who you are supporting when you shop and support GD Morté’s.
I know this message will turn some away, but I am proud of who I am. I am proud of my communities. I am proud of the people I come from, and what they have stand for.
GD Morté’s is not just a store to me, I did not start GDM as a money making scheme. I started it to support my community; of vintage lovers, bangle stackers, tassel twirlers and sassy sashayers (say that three times). To support them in their expressions of self, in daily life and on stage. So if me saying all this turns some folks away, that just means they were not meant in our community in the first place.
Pride is a protest and Juneteenth is celebration of freedom. I will continue to fight, celebrate and support all my communities. In their pursuit of life, liberty and love.
With much love,
Zsa Zsa GD Morté
